As an amateur artist, I’ve always found joy and comfort in creating. There’s something truly magical about turning a blank page into a vibrant piece of art that reflects a little bit of my heart. Recently, I’ve been on the lookout for ways to channel my love for art into something that gives back during this very difficult time.
I am mulling over raising money for our local food bank through the sale of hand painted watercolour greeting cards!
What Sparked This Idea

I’m passionate about supporting our community from the ground up. Our family built a Little Free Library and am excited about our soon-to-be Little Free Seed Library!
Our communities are now facing the challenge of tariffs and attempts to annex our country. I believe that coming together as a community is more important than ever.
My Card Collection
My collection is all about joy! From colourful flowers to whimsical scenes, each card captures what brings me happiness and hope. The best part? No two cards are the same! If something sparks joy in me, you can bet I’ll be putting it on a card.

What’s Next
I am excited to bring this project to life and
- Inspire others to tap into their own passions to give back. Whether it’s art, music, baking, or volunteering, everyone has something special to share!
- Perhaps partnering with other artists so that we can have greater impact.
How This Will All Work
This idea is still a work in progress. Being an amateur, I don’t really have a business model. All I know is that I have a skill that could help raise money to support my community. Here are my thoughts so far:
- To keep things simple, selling locally will avoid added shipping costs. If you’re in Ottawa, Ontario, feel free to reach out to me!
- Shipping within Canada would work in bulk (12 cards or more).
- Connecting with shops that would want to carry my greeting cards would be ideal! Please feel free to share this post with them—let’s see if they’d be willing to help out. Thank you so much for your support!

To be honest, I am not sure if this could be a thing that makes a difference. I am just trying to do all I can to support the people of this country to get through what will be an incredibly hard time.
